The Academy resources and services

The Academy of Architecture stands out, among other things, for the quality of its services, which are complementary to the teaching and learning process:

• The Library, with its vast inventory of volumes available (more than 130,000), is undoubtedly one of the largest libraries of art and architectural history in Switzerland;
• Archivio del Moderno is a centre of advanced studies and a foundation active in the history of architecture, engineering, spatial planning, design, and the visual arts; 
• The Library of Technology and Materials offers teaching support to faculty, and it is involved in the research and collection of technical documents to enhance cultural, humanistic and historical aspects of technology;
• The Architectural modelling laboratory is a unique feature that allows students to create models and maquettes with different materials and techniques with professional and sophisticated tools.
