"Science serving well-being and mental health" will be devoted to the key topics of public mental health, concerning the promotion of mental well-being and the prevention and treatment of mental disorders. 

The experts present:

  • Benedetto Zefiro Mellacqua, medical director of the Clinica psichiatrica cantonale e specialista in Psichiatria e Psicoterapia
  • Prof. Andrea Raballo, Professor of Psychiatry at USI and medical member of the Organizzazione socio-psichiatrica cantonale (Dipartimento della sanità e della socialità, Divisione della salute pubblica),
  • Prof. Corrado Barbui, from the Department of Neuroscienze, Biomedicina e Movimento at the University of Verona,
  • Prof. Marianna Purgato, from the Department of Neuroscienze, Biomedicina e Movimento at the University of Verona,
  • Prof. Emiliano Albanese, coordinator of the project.

Free event open to the public. 

For the organisation of the event, Professor Emiliano Albanese, director of the Institute of Public Health (IPH) at USI, obtained SNSF Scientific Exchange funding. The project is being carried out in collaboration with the Psychiatry section of the Department of Neuroscience, Biomedicine and Movement, University of Verona.
